DONE bug: sometimes (not always) org-mode links converted to 404-ing href
-
symptoms
As of
-
link from < relref “2025-04-15T01-55-20+0100-inbox” > has a link
[[id:0904959a-7289-4176-947c-0df7f2431546]["work with the garage door up"]].
that translates to href
/concept/2025-04-15T22-29-01+0100-working_with_the_garage_door_up
which is also the link used by the explorer and search, so probably good.
-
< relref “2025-04-17T09-51-52+0100-technosoap_live_stream” > has a link
[[id:0904959a-7289-4176-947c-0df7f2431546]["Working with the garage door up"]]
that translates to href
/2025-04-15T22-29-01+0100-working_with_the_garage_door_up
that 404s.

design
I’m thinking the
hugo_section
stuff#+hugo_section: tsls
might have been a bad idea, or at least not keeping the sections in sync with .org subdirectories.
I’ll just go for flat hierarchy instead..
-
implementation
Yup, getting rid of all of those (except for index.org’s) and now no more dead links
STRT a way to clean/purge all generated content and generate from scratch
One approach:
- delete all the all the ox-hugo generated .md files
- delete all the quartz generated .html
- open each .org file under
<~/tso/bu/devel/third-party/jackyzha0—quartz/content-org-roam/>
and do a
org-hugo-export-wim-to-md

TODO 404 scanner and beyond
IIRC Google Search Console can find 404s, but I bet there’s already a fast local tool I could use out there that would find the issues before I publish anything.
In fact there’s probably a suite of these kind of tools front-end devs use that I’m not familiar with
TODO TOC on RHS breaks when using org-mode to-do keywords
TODO working notes website: submit to Google Search Console
TODO Deploy locally using Cloudflare Wrangler rather than remote build
Remote build caching doesn’t seem to work, which means 1-2 minute delay before it goes live.
TODO doesn’t render org-mode tree structure very clearly — can I improve that?
the heading text size doesn’t change much, hard to tell whether you’re looking at heading level 2 vs level 3, for example.

I was thinking of that part in ” Giant Bomb’s Fond Farewell to the Miiverse” where they open the Miiverse Sketch application with an art gallery/museum aesthetic, soft string orchestral music in the background, then scroll through user-created 3DS/WiiU sketches of varying quality.
I’d like something a bit like that but with my favourite posts. I’m picturing a red velvet curtains framing a tweet like https://x.com/prophethusband/status/1615393903993143296
Text to homie nicknamed Big Gulp: You make every day of my life better than the next. I feel like I have known you for a thousand lifetimes
Text to wife: Make sure the bathroom door is open when I got home. Im gonna come in sprinting
Ideally also maintain a way to view the posts more ergonomically and fulfilling a11y best practices, but an automatic showcase feature would be funny.
